2026-2027 Safe and Inclusive School Plan

Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.

Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.

The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.

Key Priorities and Goals

This year we are focusing on continuing to build kindness, self-regulation skills and empathy to continue improving relationships between all school community members.  

Key Actions or Strategies

• Continue dedicating time every day to engage in intentional activities that build awareness and understanding of others promoting positive relationships
  
• Applying strategies that support all tiers of the Essential Conditions for Learning triangle  
  
• Applying Restorative Practice approaches using common language to respond to conflict
• Continue to support students in building self-regulation strategies to help manage emotions

Community and Home Connections

• Ask your child/ren about ways to “fill someone's bucket”. Talk with your child about how they “filled someone's bucket” or how someone “filled their bucket” each day.
  
• Try using Restorative question prompts when things go wrong and try using Affective Statements to practice expressing feelings and needs.
